How to Apply & Assessment Process
Application Process
**Summer 2026 Applications Open on December 1, 2025**
For New Staff Applications:
Please fill out our Online Written Application (Please note, that this will take approximately 40- 60 minutes)
We receive lots of applications every year, so this process can be competitive — but don’t let that worry you. We just want to get to know you.
All of the questions on this form have been tested through ChatGPT and other AI tools, so it’s usually pretty easy for us to tell when answers aren’t written by the person applying. What we care about most is personality, authenticity, and heart. Any applications that we suspect have been aided with AI are instantly rejected.
We’re looking for people who want to be the best version of themselves, who can be brilliant role models for kids, who love a bit of adventure, and who want to be part of a kind, fun, and supportive staff team.
Use this application to tell us your story — what you love, what you’re excited about, and why you’d be amazing in the role(s). Share as much as you like, be honest, be yourself, and don’t worry at all about spelling or grammar.
Important: After you apply, if you haven't received a reply within 1 week, please check your junk/spam email folder
Assessment Process
Staff who pass the staff application screening process will be invited to one of our group assessments.
Please note that we make job offers after each staff assessment. We recommend attending the earliest assessment possible.

Assessment Information
During the assessment, there will be two activities - both of which require some preparation.
Activity 1: Team Building Activities:
You will need 2-3 teambuilding / get-to-know-you games ready to facilitate with fellow applicants. The activities should suit team building / get to know you games for a group of children ages 7 - 16.
Activity 2:
Each counsellor is responsible for teaching an elective activity, and in your staff application, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us about your experience related to our elective options.
For the assessment, please choose the elective you would most like to teach.
You’ll need to prepare a 5-minute activity to run for the group, based on your chosen elective. This could be:
-
A main activity from the elective curriculum
-
A warm-up or introduction to the elective
-
A cool-down game
-
A short debrief or reflection activity
Feel free to be as creative as you like — we’re looking to see your enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to engage a group.
Please note that no props or equipment will be provided for the assessment, so plan your activity accordingly.
Video Interview: If you successfully pass the staff assessment, you will be invited for a video Interview (approximately 30 mins - 1 hour)
Returning Staff Applications:
Step 1: Please fill out our Online Written Application
Step 2: Zoom Interview (this will be approximately 40 mins - 1 hour)
International Applicants
We are only able to hire staff who currently have the legal right to work in the UK (i.e. you have a British passport or a UK work visa) or are from a Commonwealth Country and willing to apply for a UK work visa. Unfortunately, due to Brexit rules, currently, applicants from the EU are not able to obtain a working visa to work at Camp for the summer.
If you are eligible to work in the UK and live abroad, and if you have a strong application, we may offer you video interviews as an alternative to attending our in-person assessments.
