COVID-19 Update

The Scottish Government has given the go-ahead for Summer Camps to run next summer. We are delighted by this and we are so excited for a summer of fun, adventure and friendship. We will also ensure our Camp Community are kept safe by having clear rules and processes in place. Government guidelines do change periodically and we will ensure Camp is up to date on all COVID guidelines and policies.

Yes - We are requiring all staff to be vaccinated at Camp Cooper for summer 2022 (unless there is a medical exemption).

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND all campers to be fully for summer 2022. Having the whole Camp Community vaccinated will help keep everyone safe and reduce the risk of anyone contracting COVID-19.

All campers will be expected to do a COVID-19 PCR test on the morning of departure to Camp. For campers arriving by car with their parents, a PCR test will be undertaken when you arrive at Camp. For campers arriving by flight, we expect information on a negative PCR test to be sent to Camp on the morning of departure to Camp.

Will campers and staff will be expected to regularly wash their hands throughout their stay at Camp. We will be reminding campers of the importance of handwashing at regular parts of the day, for example at mealtimes.

We do not expect campers to be wearing a face mask during Camp. If a camper wishes to, they may wear a mask during their time at Camp

We expect all activities to be going ahead as usual(ish). We plan on running as many activities outside as much as possible - which is a sensible precaution that will ensure we can run all of our activities but also help keep everyone safe.

Yes! We will increase the cleaning and sanitising of the facilities and equipment at Camp.

If your child contracts COVID-19 whilst at Camp, our number one priority is their health and wellbeing. We will have specific isolation areas at Camp which will be used in case of a camper contracts COVID. We will have a nurse on Camp who will ensure campers are well, rested and recovering. We will also keep in regular contact to ensure you are up to date with everything that is happening.
